DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS TERRIBLE “PROGRAM"

The version downloaded from here does not work at all. You have to download from their website to even begin the frustration that is using Data Recovery Guru!
Granted I have a rather large drive (external 2TB - USB 3.0) it takes somewhere between 10 and 18 hrs to scan. If you attempt to recover any files while it is still scanning it crashes, making you wait several more hours to try again. If you leave it on overnight and miraculously it finishes scanning, it may allow you to recover ‘some’ files, (if youre lucky) before crashing. I went through this process several times. This last time however I allowed it to complete scanning AGAIN and it now wont let me recover any files without spending $79 on the full version. Why I would want to spend 80 dollars on something that makes me want to smash my new macbook air OS 10.9 every time I use it is a puzzle!
I have been trying for almost 2 weeks now to recover around 2 or 3 hundred picture files.
I am feeling a huge relief now, at removing this terrible software from my computer. My advice is to just avoid!
